Reaching level 70 in Diablo 4 Season 15 is less about killing everything in sight and more about choosing activities that keep your experience moving. A fresh character can lose a lot of time by stopping for every chest, chasing weak enemies, or spending too long perfecting gear that will be replaced a few levels later. You will get better results by keeping a simple route, checking your equipment often, and saving town visits for moments when they actually matter. Early upgrades are especially important, since a stronger weapon can speed up every activity that follows. If you need to fill a weak slot without spending too many resources, Diablo 4 Items can help smooth out the rougher part of the journey, but your main focus should stay on experience and forward movement.
Use Helltides to Build Early Momentum
Helltides are a strong starting point because they give you a busy area, plenty of targets, and several ways to earn experience at the same time. From level 1 to level 24, it is worth shaping your War Plan choices around Helltide objectives whenever they appear. The earlier stages offer fewer options, so completing them before the activity pool expands can make later planning easier. Keep an eye on your threat meter and avoid wandering too far from useful routes. You do not need to clear every pack. Move between event areas, collect experience globes, and leave anything that slows you down. A quick trip to town is fine when your bags are full or your weapon has fallen behind, but repeated visits for minor gains will eat into your progress.
Hellworms Reward a Fast, Focused Route
Hellworms are built for players who enjoy a more active farming loop and do not mind paying close attention to the map. Once Rift and Rot is available through the War Plans system, you can work towards the threat level needed for worm appearances. The basic idea is straightforward: raise threat in Helltide, move through likely spawn points, collect the experience globes, and keep the route moving. Do not waste time clearing every nearby enemy after the worm appears. The value comes from repeating the setup quickly, not from turning each encounter into a full area clear. This method can push levels forward at an impressive pace, though it has a catch. Your level may rise faster than your equipment. Check your weapon damage, armour, and key skill ranks regularly so the speed of the route does not turn into a struggle against ordinary enemies.
Try the Undercity for Consistent Experience
The Undercity is a better fit if you want dependable progress without managing Helltide threat. It becomes available at level 25 and works around Attunement ranks, which provide a clear target for each run. Unlocking the Jade Epiphany node through War Plans should be one of your priorities once the activity opens. After that, aim to reach Attunement 4 rather than spending time on unnecessary exploration. You can usually move through the activity, reach the boss, collect the reward, and start again. Full clears may be more satisfying, but they are not always the best use of your time while levelling. Keep your build practical, use movement skills where possible, and leave room in your inventory for useful drops. The Undercity does not demand the same preparation as Hellworms, which makes it a comfortable choice for a first seasonal character.
Keep War Plans and Gear Working Together
War Plans are useful because they give your levelling route some direction instead of turning it into a string of unrelated activities. Helltides should usually come first when you want strong experience and a chance to support the Hellworm route. The Undercity is valuable once its progression nodes are open, while the Pit can fit into the plan when your build is already handling it comfortably. Hordes can be enjoyable, but they often take longer than expected, so they are not always the best pick for a level-focused session. Gear decisions matter just as much. Vendor weapons can carry a new character surprisingly well, and spending gold on a direct damage upgrade is often smarter than saving every coin. Replace items when they slow you down, not simply because a newer colour has appeared in your inventory. The same rule applies to skill points: use them to improve the abilities you are actually pressing.
Final Thoughts
The quickest route to level 70 depends on how much setup and repetition you are willing to accept. Helltides create strong early momentum, Hellworms offer the highest pace when their loop suits your playstyle, and the Undercity provides a steadier option from level 25 onward. War Plans tie those choices together and help your character arrive at endgame with useful progress already completed. Keep moving, avoid over-clearing, and upgrade only when a change improves your damage or survival. A small reserve of gold also helps with repairs, vendors, and sudden equipment gaps. When you are preparing for the next stage of the season, having practical Diablo 4 materials for sale available can make the move into endgame feel much less abrupt.
